Derryl Gabel - Outside Secrets 3 DVD

In this video Derryl improvises over a simple two five progression to demonstrate the use of the super locrian scale, side stepping, and chromatics to go "outside" the key. Next, the video is slowed down 200% without changing the pitch so that you can transcribe and analyze the solo. By doing this you will begin to understand how to connect the tension and resolution lines in a melodic fashion while training your ear.

Included on the DVD are Power Tab and PDF files of the scales, pentatonics, hybrids, and other melodic patterns that he used to improvise this solo.
